MAGO K.K. (株式会社MAGO, "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Japan, operates the MAGO AI mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across both iOS and Android platforms.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our AI services and ensure app stability, we collect the following data types:
- Personal Identifiers: Your Name and Email Address provided during registration to manage your account and subscriptions (User ID).
- Device Identifiers: Device ID or other unique identifiers to prevent fraud and ensure service security.
- User Content: Chat History (Customer Support & Other User Content). We process the text you input to generate AI responses.
- Usage Data: Product Interaction data, such as which features you use and how often you access the Service.
- Diagnostics: Crash Data and performance logs used solely for debugging and improving App stability.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- App Functionality: To provide AI chat features, maintain your account, and process in-app purchases.
- Analytics: To understand user trends and optimize the user experience.
- Security: To detect and prevent unauthorized access or malicious activity.
We do NOT sell your personal data or chat history to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. AI Data Processing
Kayo AI uses Google Gemini, a large language model service provided by Google LLC, as our third-party AI processor to generate companion replies.
- What data is shared: your chat messages, the current companion character setting, and recent conversation context. Voice messages are first transcribed to text, and the transcribed text is then sent to Gemini.
- Who receives the data: Google LLC, governed by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the Gemini API Additional Terms (https://ai.google.dev/terms).
- Purpose: solely to generate AI replies within the Service. Your data is not sold or used for advertising. Per Google's Gemini API terms, your prompts and conversations are not used to train Google's foundational models.
- User consent: the App displays an in-app AI Data Sharing Notice before any message is sent to Gemini and requires your explicit consent ("Agree") to proceed. If you decline, messages will not be transmitted to Gemini.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited personal data with the following third-party processors strictly for the purposes listed. Each provider offers privacy protections that are equal to or greater than those described in this Policy.
- Google LLC (Gemini API) — AI response generation; data types: chat text, voice transcripts, conversation context. Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC (Sign-In, Firebase) — authentication and crash diagnostics; data types: email, device identifier, crash data. Privacy Policy.
- Apple Inc. (Sign in with Apple) — authentication; data types: anonymized user identifier, email relay. Privacy Policy.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook SDK) — install and conversion analytics; data types: device identifier, usage events. Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data (including chat history) at any time. You can do this via the "Delete Account" feature in the App settings or by contacting us at cdiory1984@gmail.com.
6. Security of Data
We implement industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect your data during transmission and storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Compliance with International Laws
We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) of Japan, the GDPR (where applicable), and the App Store & Google Play Developer Guidelines.
